A subsidiary of Eakem Co. Ltd, dedicated to enhancing patient management and preserving life through compassionate care in Uganda.
Five principles that shape every interaction, every decision, and every patient experience at KME Patient Care.
We create positive outcomes and higher patient satisfaction through personalized, compassionate care.
We serve a diverse range of individuals and institutions who need professional, compassionate care.
KME Patient Care Assistants was born from a simple but powerful observation: families in Uganda struggling to find reliable, professional care for their loved ones at home. What started as a small team of dedicated nurses in Kampala has grown into a comprehensive patient care service trusted by hundreds of families.
As a subsidiary of Eakem Co. Ltd, we combine corporate governance with community-centered care delivery. Every member of our team shares a deep commitment to preserving life, enhancing patient outcomes, and supporting families through their most vulnerable moments.
Behind every service is a real person receiving real compassion. Here are glimpses of our professionals in action.

All KME nurses are registered and certified by the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. They hold diplomas or degrees in nursing, undergo background verification, and participate in continuous professional development programs covering clinical skills, patient communication, and ethical care practices.
For standard care requests, we typically match you with a professional within 24–48 hours. Urgent or emergency requests can be accommodated within the same day, depending on availability. Our care coordinator will contact you within 2 hours of receiving your request to discuss next steps.
We currently serve patients across Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Entebbe, and surrounding districts within the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area. We are actively expanding our reach to other regions. Contact us to discuss availability in your specific area.
While we carefully match caregivers based on the patient's needs, condition, and preferences, we welcome family input. If you have a preference for a specific caregiver (gender, language, specialization), we do our best to accommodate. You may also request a change if the initial match isn't ideal.
Absolutely. Many of our patients have co-morbidities such as diabetes with hypertension, or post-surgery recovery alongside chronic pain. Our care plans are designed holistically, addressing all conditions simultaneously with coordinated clinical interventions and regular physician consultations.
Continuity of care is a top priority. If your assigned caregiver is unavailable, we provide a qualified backup who has been briefed on the patient's care plan. All transitions are communicated to the family in advance, and detailed handover notes ensure seamless care delivery.
Our pricing is transparent and depends on the type of service, duration, and complexity of care. We offer flexible plans — hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly — to suit different budgets. Contact us for a free, no-obligation assessment and cost estimate tailored to your specific needs.
No. Our KME Care Assistant chatbot is designed to help you navigate our services, understand basic health information, and submit care requests. It provides preliminary guidance based on symptoms, but is not a diagnostic tool. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical decisions.
